Discovering a Career Path

Like many of us during our teenage years, I wasn't entirely sure what career path I wanted to follow. But one thing I always knew was that I loved socialising, meeting new people, and experiencing new places. At 19, I found myself stepping into the world of hospitality. What started as a way to explore my interests quickly turned into a passion when I moved into weddings and events.

I remember my first wedding event vividly—the excitement, the planning, the emotions, and ultimately, the joy of the couple on their special day. I was hooked. It was a world where I could be creative, meet incredible people, and see my ideas come to life in the most beautiful way. Ten years later, with over 300 events under my belt, I can't imagine doing anything else.

Crafting Memories, One Event at a Time

As the Director of Yor Events Ltd, I specialise in event planning,  design and décor for all types of events, from intimate gatherings to grand celebrations. The name "Yor Events" was inspired by the idea of tailoring each event to "you," the client. Every event is a unique story, and our goal is to bring that story to life in the most memorable way possible.

I take immense pride in executing event décor that truly reflects my clients' vision. There is something incredibly fulfilling about sitting down with new faces, listening to their ideas, and then weaving those ideas into a cohesive, stunning design. I'm a stickler for details and a perfectionist at heart—two traits that serve me well in this industry. Whether it’s creating a lavish wedding setup or a corporate gala, I thrive on the challenges and the creative freedom that come with each new project.

Why Event Decor ?

Event décor is more than just arranging flowers or picking out tablecloths; it's about creating an experience. It’s about transforming a blank canvas into a breath taking masterpiece that reflects the personality and aspirations of those celebrating. The endless possibilities for creativity are what drew me to this field in the first place. I love the process—from initial sketches and vision boards to the hustle of last-minute adjustments on the day of the event. And at the end of it all, seeing everything come together, seeing the smiles on my clients' faces, is incredibly rewarding.

Each event is a labour of love, involving countless WhatsApp group messages, floor plans, long hours, and sometimes even sleepless nights. But when I see the end result, when I can step back and witness the joy and excitement that we’ve helped create, it’s all worth it. Being part of such an important moment in someone’s life—knowing that our work will be remembered as a part of their special day—is a privilege I don’t take lightly.

I am constantly inspired by the people I meet, the stories I get to be a part of, and the beautiful moments we help create. Every event is a new adventure, and I look forward to what the future holds.
